French Fried "Gasoline"

The N.C. Zoo will receive $23,000 to create a biofuel reactor. This will allow it to turn "donated", used frying oil into fuel for its public trams and buses. The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Air Quality, has provided for the Zoo's request to pursue this environmental approach.

N.C. Zoo buses and trams already purchase biofuel to mix with diesel.
