Garden Play

Its Spring and the children are all over the Garden Friends playground. The unique NC Zoo playground, near the Polar bears, features giant leaves, gourd, spider web, lady bug, preying mantis, etc. that are playground elements.

Loui Bradley, lead artist and Zoo employee for the project, is the same artist who created much of the realistic "Streamside", also nearby.

Rubber "mulch" makes hopping down from the spider web climb, or reaching the bottom of the leaf sliding board, kinder, gentler and more fun.
