Still Involved

Dr. Barb Wolfe just left my office. The NC Zoo senior veterinarian and reproductive physiologist will be taking a job with The Wilds, in Ohio, but she will remain very much involved in our Project:Pachyderms plans to breed African elephants and, perhaps, southern white rhinos through, perhaps, artificial insemination (AI) into the future.

Lead veterinarian Dr. Mike Loomis reported in management staff meeting this morning that he will seek to do his best to find suitable replacement for Dr. Wolfe's day-to-day contribution here.

So glad she will remain a part of the Watani Grasslands (elephant/rhino) Project:Pachyderms here. She is one of the very few experts in African elephant AI.
