No See Um

Riverbanks Zoo's ARC exhibit offered another opportunity to be amazed by the hiding ability of the Gaboon viper. I am always surprised when I finally find the viper in a good zoo exhibit, like Riverbanks'.

With a head almost as big as a moon pie, and totally in plain view, it still took me quite some time to find the big viper as it blended so well with the leaves in its exhibit. The light tan and dark brown viper could be right beside you and you'd never know it.
