Another Baboon Coming

When I posted that the most recent Hamadryas baboon birth at the NC Zoo was to the youngest baboon mother on record, I wondered if that had been a planned birth.

Learned today in management staff meeting that it was not and a planned birth is just a short time off. If all goes well that will make Hamadryas number 21 at the NC Zoo. Twice what the next closest American zoo has in its collection.
