Another Award
Ali Lubbock, assistant director of Sylvan Heights Waterfowl, has been awarded the prestigious Jean Delacour Award by the International Wild Waterfowl Association (IWWA). She was commended for her long work "preserving and protecting some of the world's most endangered waterfowl", at the NC Zoo Society-supported facility, at Scotland Neck, NC.
She was recognized also for her service to interns and volunteers dedicated to wild waterfowl.
Sylvan Heights has the largest breeding waterfowl collection in the world - over 2,500 birds of 170 species, many rare and endangered.
