Foster a Traditional Pet

Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo hosts a dog and cat "adoption" event. The event includes information on the values of spaying and neutering.

"Beardsley Zoo encourages pet owners to provide a loving home to dogs and cats rather than exotic animals." (Many who "adopt" exotic animals find that the wild creatures just do not make good pets because of their wildness, as well, often, as their natural behaviors, size, strength and natural "weapons"; through no fault of their own, these exotic animals can find themselves moved from "home" to "home" in a descending order of comfort and stimulation.)
