Big Zoo Story

Had this link to a February 16 story on "back burner" 'til now:

"ANDALAS, the first Sumatran rhinoceros born in captivity in over 100 years will leave his Los Angeles Zoo home of three years later this week to go to Indonesia. Andalas will become the first Sumatran rhino ever to be transported from the United States to Indonesia as part of an international breeding program. He will join two female rhinos, at the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary in the Way Kambas National Park on the Island of Sumatra."

Now I see it is the Yahoo "feature" of the moment: "Rare Rhino's Job - Fall in Love".

Note that today's A.P. story makes no mention of LA Zoo by name, although it mentions Calcutta Zoo and Cincinnati Zoo, where Andalas was born.

"The Sumatran rhino is considered the most threatened of the five rhino species, with less than 300 still alive in isolated pockets in the forests of Malaysia and Sumatra, which is also home to endangered tigers and elephants," the A.P. story reports.
