Stones Rolled Away
The man-made rock cliffs in the "Rocky Coast" alcid exhibit at the NC Zoo have nest boxes built into the rock wall behind the on-exhibit puffins, murres and auklets. Often the tunnel openings to those nests are closed by round, artificial rocks.
