Hi Russ -- I'm not sure how "typical" this is in that it lasted for so long. IThe commentary seems to indicate that the length at least was a little atypical. But thanks for posting, I found it via the the Wolves of the High Arctic blog, http://internationalwolfcenter.blogspot.com/ which follows the work of Dave Mech et al which I've been following for a few months.
