Riverbanks Zoo's $40M Bond Ask
Riverbanks Zoo and Garden, Columbia, SC, is discussing a potential $40 million bond issue for improvements with county councils (Richmond and Lexington).
The $40 million plan includes an interactive sea lion experience, Asian animal complex, children’s garden, enlarged entrance and other visitor enhancements.
More than one million visitors were tallied there in 2009. This was 13 percent over what had been budgeted.
