New Trick for Old "Dog"

“Voluntary blood draw from Hondo chimp!” That’s the report from “The Midden”, the NC Zoo keepers’ monthly update.

Hondo was born around 1975, making him a rather senior chimp citizen.

Having voluntarily allowed my own blood to be drawn at my doctor’s office this morning, I am especially appreciative of what patience it takes to get a powerful chimpanzee to allow that to be done.
