Tree Protection Kills Giraffe?
A Cincinnati Zoo giraffe died in a freak accident Saturday.
"Apparently, she was feeding on grass underneath a cable, which holds the netting surrounding the trees, when her horns, called ossicones, became caught in the netting."
Yesterday "...all of the netting was removed before the other two giraffes went outside. The netting will not be replaced."
