Swamp Ghosts: Legends
Checked out our new exhibit (“Swamp Ghosts”) in the “old” African Pavilion this afternoon.
One white alligator was as active as any alligator I’ve ever seen and the other was patiently waiting for food. (What alligators do best.)
They look great in the “old” pygmy crocodile exhibit.
The Pavilion looks good too, with all the orchids and other flowers, plus the new displays and signs about “Legends of Fortune and Good Luck”.
White alligators join other animals, plants, gems and even dragons and unicorns, I learned, for being thought to bring luck to those who see them. (The luck I have experienced from spottings of unicorns and dragons has been minimal in my long life.)
