"My ankle recovered quickly, for which I'm thankful. It's still black and blue, but with my rubber boots and ankle supports, I'm hiking pretty comfortably." [Mike's "good hiking boots" have fallen apart, so he is making very strenuous hikes in rubber boots, with a black-and-blue sprained ankle...and he is thankful! The elephants should be thankful for what he is doing for them and for their descendents...but they very much are not!]
