Gotta Love Nik
I've seen NC Zoo keeper Aaron Jesue feed gorilla Nik during the twice-daily public feedings many times. Wished I'd seen the one Aaron reported today on Facebook.
"After tossing the last carrot to Nik at the 1:30 feed, I went ahead and dropped my sunglasses into the exhibit next to Nik. After jumping from the weird noise, he grabbed the glasses and lifted them up towards me. I came down and asked him to trade at the mesh, and he gently handed them back to me. The visitors cheered as I came out front with my shades (in one piece!) and it made for a perfect keeper/visitor interaction! How can you not love Nik?"
